ABOUT CROWN HILL

Crown Hill is most famous as the home to the Holman Road Dick’s Drive-In, but the neighborhood got its start in a very different fashion.  In 1903 the Crown Hill Cemetery marked the beginning of change for the area from forested land to farmland.  Crown Hill saw its biggest population spikes after World War II, when returning veterans and other settlers began building out the neighborhood until it was fully developed by 1960.  Today, the neighborhood is a family space with an active neighborhood association and many community groups that encourage involvement.  Nestled between Ballard and Greenwood, Crown Hill has easy access to plenty of bars, restaurants, while maintaining a quiet and traditional Seattle feel.
