Market slowdown? Where?! The past two weeks have been busy here at Heaton Dainard. The data shows that the market is slowing down, but we’ve had 15 properties go pending in the past three weeks! One of our latest homes was on the market for six short days before it went pending after multiple offers. Follow this link for more of our active listings.
29031 188th Ave, SE Kent | List Price: $325,000 | Days on Market: 7

This popular home in Kent was reminiscent of a few months ago, when the market was moving at an unprecedented rate. This always popular rambler style is further proof that the right home at the right price can sell quickly in any market climate. Our investors remodeled the classic layout in a modern farmhouse style. The entire remodel was done thoroughly with a redesigned floor plan it was an inside out, top to bottom overhaul of the entire home. Many of the comparable homes at the same price point were partially updated, or not updated at all, a stark contrast to the quality craftsmanship that set our property apart.

In just six days, five offers were submitted and the cleanest and highest offer was selected. We spoke with the listing broker, Megan Halter, for more details on what made this home a clear front runner in the neighborhood.
“This was the first multiple offer situation that I have had recently and I think it was because of its affordability factor but also because of the product. The house was remodeled from top to bottom. A new master suite was created plus three additional bedrooms, 1.75 baths and a nice open living space. Buyers tend to like ramblers and the layout worked well. A brand new septic system was installed, new roof, windows, doors, etc.,. The house was fully permitted and signed off on which gives buyers confidence in the work that was done. The seller also decided to spend a little extra on the landscaping in the end which really helped complete the project.”
